Get your LuLuMate Bridge board
LuLuMate reaches your mower through a small board that rides on it: the LuLuMate Bridge. You buy the board yourself and set it up from this site. This page shows which one to buy, and where.
- Get your board
- Install it
- Join your Wi-Fi

Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32-S3
“ESP32-S3” is the name of the chip on the board. It is the name to look for.
- USB-C socket: for the cable: first to your computer, later to the mower.
- B and R buttons: B is BOOT, R is reset. You only need them if set-up asks for them.
- Round gold socket: the antenna clips on here.
- Antenna: a small flat strip on a thin lead. It comes loose in the bag and must be clipped on.
- Small light: beside the USB-C socket. It shows what the bridge is doing.
- It is the board our own mower runs on. More LuLuMate mowers use it than any other board.
- We develop and test the LuLuMate Bridge software on this board first.
- It is tiny and has a USB-C socket, so one short cable powers it on the mower.
- No soldering. You don't need the loose pins that come in the bag.
What to check on the listing
The listing should say Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32-S3. Some shops write XIAO ESP32S3. The maker's part number is 113991114.
- The plain XIAO ESP32-S3, sold with loose pins (“un-soldered”).
- The same board with its pins already fitted (“pre-soldered”, part 102010634). You don't need the pins, but they do no harm.
Not these:
- XIAO ESP32-S3 Sense (it has a camera on top) and XIAO ESP32-S3 Plus. We have not tested them, and they cost more.
- XIAO ESP32-C3, C6 or C5. They look the same but are different boards. We don't recommend them today.
- XIAO SAMD21, RP2040, RP2350, nRF52840, MG24 or RA4M1. Same shape, wrong chip. They will not work.
- Packs of several, “tape and reel”, and kits with other parts. One board is all you need.
In the bag: the board, a small antenna, and two strips of loose pins. Check the listing mentions the antenna.
What it costs, and how long it takes
About US$8 for the board (around NZ$16, A$16, €8 or £7 with tax). Delivery can cost as much again, or more.
A shop in your own part of the world usually delivers in a few days. From overseas, allow about two weeks.

LuLuMate earns nothing from the shop links on this page. They are ordinary links, not affiliate links, and each opens in a new tab. We don't sell hardware. Prices and stock were checked on 11 October 2026 and will change: the shop's own page is what counts.
A second choice that can cost lessESP32-S3 SuperMini
Second choiceESP32-S3 SuperMini
- USB-C socket: for the cable.
- BOOT and RESET buttons: either side, just behind the socket.
- Antenna: the small block at the far end. Nothing to fit.
- Small light: near the far end. It shows what the bridge is doing.
- A no-name board sold on the big online marketplaces, often in packs. It can cost less there; we could not check those prices.
- The set-up page installs LuLuMate Bridge on it, and its antenna is already on the board: nothing to clip on.
Know this first:
- It gets an older version of the LuLuMate Bridge software than the XIAO.
- Only one LuLuMate mower runs on it so far, and that one has a different version of the software from the one you would get.
- Its antenna is very small, so its Wi-Fi may not reach as far.
What to check on the listing
The listing should say ESP32-S3 SuperMini (or “Super Mini”), with 4 MB of flash.
- ESP32-S3 SuperMini, 4 MB flash. One board, or a pack if you want spares.
Not these:
- ESP32-C3, C6 or H2 SuperMini. They look the same and are often on the same listing, in a drop-down. Make sure ESP32-S3 is the one chosen. The H2 has no Wi-Fi and will not work.
- Boards called ESP32-S3-Zero, even when the listing also says “SuperMini”. A different board; we have not tested it.
Usually just the board and loose pins. You don't need the pins.

What else you need
A USB-C data cable
To set the board up on your computer. One end must be USB-C, to fit the board; the other end fits your computer. Some cables only charge and carry no data: if in doubt, use one that came with a phone.
A computer with Chrome or Edge, just once
Windows, Mac, Linux or a Chromebook. Set-up runs in the browser and takes about 10 minutes. Phones, Safari and Firefox can't do this step.
Home Wi-Fi that reaches your lawn
The ordinary 2.4 GHz kind, which nearly every router has. The bridge rides on the mower, so the Wi-Fi must reach wherever the mower goes.
Power on the mower
The board rides on the mower. On the models we know, it takes its power from the mower's USB port through a short cable. On the others, a small USB power bank fixed on the mower does the job. Which cable you need depends on your mower's socket: the fitting guide says. The board needs to sit somewhere dry. The cable only carries power: the board talks to the mower over Bluetooth.
Already own another ESP32 board? The set-up page tests any board first and tells you whether it can be used. Nothing is written until you press Install.
